Drug Addiction

The main reason i chose this topic is because this issue is strongly raised in whole Country
so i thought this problem would be useful for everyone.
at present,Young,Adults as well as childrens are addicted to these drugs.

Actually this has resulted in so many negative impacts to the our future generation. Young people often start with just tasting of these drugs and then end up getting addicted to it. They do this due to various reasons. They consume it sometimes because of unfair expectations and stress. The drugs make them feel high and its after- effects are quite relaxing. But its effects in the long run can damage their brain , liver , etc. In the society in which we live today, this drug is used without any distinction between young and old. This is biggest problem for everyone. So we have to be prudent at this point and find a solution to this problem.

What is a Drug ?

▪ Cannabis
▪ Cigerette



Causes of the problem.

1. People are addicted to drugs yo get rid of the sadness in their heart.Family conflicts, broken relationships, social problems, unresolved issues, etc. are some of them.
2. People use drugs as an addiction. Because people use drugs for a veriety of reasons, they unknowingly become addicted to the drug.
3. People use drugs for pleasure and fun.
4. Bad association make people addicted to drugs.
5. People are tempted to get addicted to drugs by watching teledramas and commercials that contain different things about drugs.

People can become addicted to drugs for the following reasons.





In today's society drug use is mostly done by school going children and youth. What has happened to them is that they are associating with bad friends in society. Even good people get in to this situation because of bad asassociatings. It means the destruction of future generation.people distribute these drugs to schools.as a result , the education of the children collapses and the emergence of good citizens in the society disappears.As young people , we make sure that such things do not happen.


* Measures that the government can take to prevent drug abuse.
1. Conducting anti-drug programs.
2. Drug test proposals.
3. Implementation of a Drug Prevention Task Force in every Provincial Council
4. Establishment of an appropriate institutional code of conduct for drug use in various government agencies.

* Measures to be taken by non-governmental organizations and social service organizations to prevent alcoholism
1. Provide counseling to every school above primary level
2.Provide confirmed scientific information about drugs and substance abuse to educational institutions and libraries.
3. Organizing awareness discussions on the side effects of drug use and the diseases caused by it.


In today's society, there are many opportunities for school children to be addicted to drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Social attitudes, media, etc. influence this. By conducting a series of counseling sessions at the school level, children are exposed to a good work ethic. These series of counseling can help you to avoid health problems, social problems, and poor discipline caused by drug use.

It is your responsibility to protect your body from becoming ill by not using this drug. Explain it to each other.

My school is second mom of my life.A place i love so much. My school name is Princess of wale's College.  My school is a leading government school.Princess of Wales College is a girls' school in Moratuwa, a suburb of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Unforgettable youth camp in my life

    Two years ago the Apostolic Churches in all parts of our country came together and held a National Youth Camp.Anyone who attended that camp will never forget that camp. Because we all had a lot of fun. The conference lasted for three days.About forty young men and women from our church went to the camp.The camp was at a lodge called "Ape kadalla" in Madampe. All 40 of us got on the morning bus.
